Ruth Mata Dawson is a Faith-Based
Certified Christian
Counseling. She is past
president of the "Christians Helping Christians"
Counseling group at Gulf Meadows Church.
Her Sunday School children know her
best as "Grandma Ruth." She is know for the unique way she
teaches them God's Love. Many have been
blessed with her testimony of God's transforming
power through His word in her life.
Ruth often gives her testimony before
Dr. Cockerham preaches or speaks at the training
sessions at the American Institute for Christian
Education.
Her testimony is "proof" that Dr. Cockerham's
biblically-based counseling in 1993 provided
her with what was necessary for help, hope and
healing.
She is a member of the teaching staff at the
American Institute for Christian Education where
she teaches "Distorted Thinking." Also, she is a
guest speaker at the "Be Set Free
Now" one-day workshops using the Emotional Freedom
Through Christ protocol developed by Dr. Cockerham for quick transformation and healing. She
serves as Vice President of the Christian Institute
for Counselor Certification Inc.
Ruth's career as a Certified Pharmacy
IV Technician has been exemplary implementing
programs to improve the quality of service to our
Senior Citizens in various nursing homes through out
the city of Houston.
She is a devoted wife, mother of 5
children and grandmother of 6 grandchildren. Some
of her
hobbies are crocheting, quilting, reading,
photography, floral arrangements as well as arts and
crafts.
