BBC 101
This is the starting point for formal Faith-Base Biblical Counseling Training. In this first course, the student is introduced to the "Model of Life" --- a simple, but profound way to guide the client back to the "root issue." Bad roots produce bad fruit. The goal of the Faith-Based Counselor is to deal with this concept of "bad roots." |
BBC 122
The student is introduced to the "Exchange Life" concept, also know as the "Christ Life." This is one of the most important concepts in the Bible, dealing with one's identity in Christ. It has been said by many preachers and teachers that three things must be "known and applied" to live the successful Christian life: 1) who we are, 2) what we have, and 3) how to appropriate that which we already possess. That is the thrust of this lesson. |
BBC 131
The student is introduced to the concept of "distorted thinking." This is a more wide-spread concept than most people believe, do to the lack of biblical understanding concerning this issue. The Bible is clear that "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." (Proverbs 23:7) Most learning occurs outside of the church; most people function in DISTORTED THINKING - FLESH. |
BBC 154
The student is introduced to perhaps the most important information in one's lifetime --- the "spirit-soul-body-flesh" complex. With a clear understanding of this concept --- beginning with Genesis --- much of what we think is true in the Bible is really NOT true at all. Each of these words, - spirit, soul, body and flesh, will be discussed from the original languages of Hebrew (OT) and Greek (NT) in order to receive a full revelation..... |
BBC 155
Skills training is introduced the student will learn the 8 counseling skills. Practical interaction in group and one-on-one counseling will be practiced in the class room setting. This course is practical and experiential. |
BBC 167
This is an introduction to active and practical Forgiveness. Dr. John MacArthur has stated this best when he said, "We never act more like God than when we forgive." Forgiveness is the bottom line of the Christian faith. As Jesus spoke these words, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do", our lives were forever changed! |
BBC 157
Skills training Part II: This is an in-depth exploration of the concepts introduced in BBC 155. More practice time is given to the student's experiential learning, including groups and one-on-one counseling "in" and "outside" the class. |
BBC 189
The sutdent is introduced to practical information concerning the family. Marriage, divorce and remarriage will be discussed with application. In addition, the "Abused and Battered Woman" is discussed with practical application. Hard questions are answered in this lesson. |
BBC 199
Advanced Counseling Techniques are introduced. The student will learn the skills and protocols for proper paper work to use with the client, i.e., making the appointment, the assessment, the counseling process and referrals to name only a few. Ethics are introduced with an overview of how to establish a biblical-based counseling center. |
