Dr. Tony Lewis is the founder and president of Christian Bible Institute &
Seminary which is an online bible institute and seminary dedicated to biblical
training. Dr. Lewis is a native of Houston, Texas. He was reared in the streets of 5th
Ward and Acres Homes. After fully receiving his salvation in 1990, two years
later he responded to the call that God had placed upon his life. Dr. Lewis has
a diverse background of ministry skills with 14 years of ministry experience
with seven of those years in Music Ministry, and 4 years as an assistant Pastor.
He
has also conducted leadership and discipleship
training classes to develop and empower church leaders and bring growth and
stability to the body of Christ. Dr. Lewis also teaches a seminar upon request
entitled Bringing the Seminary to the Church in which he teaches such topics as
Bible Study Methods, Homiletics and Hermeneutics. He received his
Bachelors of Theology Degree in 1995 and one year later he received an Honorary
Doctor of Divinity Degree as well as his Masters in Christian Education. He is
currently pursuing his PhD through correspondence at Covenant Bible College &
Seminary.
Dr. Lewis is a student of God's Word in the original
languages with a concentration on exegetical preaching and teaching, with an
emphasis on precision and homiletical clarity. He is also a member of the
board of directors for the National Association of Private Theological
Institutions (NAPTI) He also serves as the director of post secondary education
for (NAPTI). Dr. Lewis models a life of prayer and contemplation, study,
discipleship and evangelism and has a deep love for children, young people,
young adults and growing families. He is the founder and senior Pastor of
the Dwelling Place of
God Christian Fellowship Church located in the Woodlands area of Houston, Texas. He is married to Pastor Carla D Lewis
who is an awesomely anointed psalmist. First Lady Lewis works closely by his
side and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children Tony,
Timothy and Breanna.
